Takashi

Adoption status: Adopted!

Takashi

Hi! My name is now Takashi and it means adore in Japanese. I am a 5 and a half year old male red Shiba Inu. I’m in rescue at no fault of my own. My owners just had a child so they no longer have time for me or the other dog I lived with. I was always a really good boy with no behavior issues and I got along great with the other dog that I lived with. But I am very happy they chose to place me with DC SIR because they will make sure I get the best possible home for my needs and that it will be forever!

I am good with other dogs and DC SIR will let you know about cats and children. I know basic manners and I ride well in a car and even a boat! I am spending the day at Shiba HQ where there are a lot of dogs with many personalities and I did great with everyone! I’ve been a bit nervous since getting to rescue so I stick by the volunteers and look for petting and reassurance that everything will be ok. DC SIR is putting me in a foster home with a one year old female Shiba inu, so they will have more details on my energy level and personality soon!

I am about 25 lbs and really handsome! I’m very lovable and loyal. I walk very well on a leash and ride well in a car too! DC SIR will be taking me on adventures while I’m in foster so they will let you know how I do with that. But from what my owners told DC SIR, I’m an all around great guy that would make a family very happy! Will you please share my story so that I may find a forever home?
