Aimi

Adoption status: Adopted!

AIMI

Hi, my name is Aimi! I’m only about 2.5 years old, but I’ve been through a lot in my life. My first home was with an older lady who never taught me to walk on a leash, and never socialized me. I was rescued from that situation, but the rescue didn’t get to know me too well before placing me in a new home.

I was adopted into a family that had other Shibas and cats. I was very playful with my Shiba siblings and I ignore the kitties, but my new family hadn’t been made aware of my personality and my training needs. They really tried, but they weren’t able to train me the way I needed.

After 2 months, they realized they couldn’t keep me, so they contacted DC SIR, because they knew DC SIR could help a precious girl like me find my perfect forever home!

I am a tiny girl, less than 12 lbs! I need harness training, so I would do well in a family that has previous Shiba/primitive breed and force-free training experience. DC SIR says I will only be adopted to a home without children.
