HIRO

Hello everyone! My name is Hiro, and I am a 4 year old black and tan male Shiba Inu. Please allow me to tell you a little bit about myself. I was in a very happy home for a few years, but then my humans lost their house and couldn’t take me with them. They asked a family member to take care of me, but I didn’t like it much there. I was bored and just wanted to explore! I ran away a few times to wander around and see what interesting things were out there. I also figured out how to slip out of a collar (a piece of cake for a smart Shiba like me!). Eventually, I was brought to a shelter by some men in uniforms. They called my family and was told I kept running away too much so I should stay there. Now, the folks at the shelter were nice enough, but it was scary! There were so many noises and strange smells, and I was not at all comfortable. I tried to hide whenever anyone came near me. Thankfully, DCSIR heard about me and agreed to find me a perfect forever home!

So that’s my story, but let me tell you a little more about me. I LOVE other dogs. I just want to play with everyone I meet. So far I think cats are scary. Those kitty claws! Maybe DCSIR will find a nice kitty that I can get along with, but we’ll see. I’m a pretty shy boy, so I will need positive reinforcement training. It’s scary when people yell! I do have grain allergies per previous owners and will be on a RAW diet. I just want to be loved, and I know my perfect forever home is out there! I’ll be available for adoption after my 2 week assessment is finished, so please let the nice people at DCSIR know that you’d like a handsome, dog-friendly Shiba like me to be a part of your family!
