Reiji

Adoption status: Adopted!

Hi!  My name is Reiji and I’m a young Shiba Inu mix.  I can’t tell you exactly how old I am, or where I came from, but I can tell you where I ended up.  I was left at a Tennessee shelter and I have been living here for a while with different kennel mates.  Everyone here in the shelter has been very nice to me but I knew they couldn’t keep me here forever.  It was really scary being in the shelter, but I am so much happier now after DC SIR rescued me!

I am traveling up north because DC SIR believes it’s my best shot at a good home.  I’m still real young, maybe 1-2 years old, so I will need a family who is willing to invest the time to train me on how to be well behaved.  I have lots of energy and I’m super friendly so I would love a high energetic family who would take me on hikes and adventures.  I’d also really like to go to school with my new family so we can learn to communicate with each other.

There is so much to tell everyone and I promise to have DC SIR tell you all about me as I settle in at my foster home.  I’m going to be assessed for a couple of weeks – I say I’m perfect!  It would be really great to be in a home so I can enjoy lots of belly rubs and have a warm bed to sleep in.  So for now, I just wanted to say hi, and ask that you watch my album on Facebook for updates on how awesome I am!

DC SIR is a non-profit, volunteer-run network of foster homes in the Washington, DC area.

DC SIR does not have a shelter facility. To meet our adoptable dogs, interested adopters can attend one of our monthly adoption events.
