Kiki

Adoption status: Adopted!

KIKI

Hi! My name is Kiki and I am a black and tan female Shiba Inu that is nearly four months old. I was born in a puppy mill and purchased online. The person who purchased me thought that I was cute, but hadn’t done any research on Shiba Inus and thankfully contacted DC SIR. I know how to sit, lay down, turn around, and give you my paw (I’m not the biggest fan of you touching it though). I love love love meeting new people and new dogs! But I’ve been showing them my excitement with my teeth and boy can I chomp down hard.

I get so excited that I pee all over the floor each time someone walks in the door, but my foster mom is super patient and knows how to train me without fear or force and I’m getting better. My Shiba mom was never able to teach me bite inhibition so I bite really hard. My foster siblings are also working on teaching me how to use my mouth without making it hurt. People like to put toys in my mouth and that helps too. I’ve been learning patience and now sit and wait patiently for treats with a whole bunch of other doggies! They are really awesome and I love learning from them. DC SIR thinks I would do best in a home with another friendly dog so I’d love to meet your family if you have Shiba experience, a friendly dog and I even like cats too!
