Naota

Adoption status: Adopted!

Naota

Hello everyone, my name is now Naota. It means ‘honesty’ in Japanese. I am a 9 year old male Shiba Inu and I have lived my entire life with one family. I was a perfect family member, I always brought the ball when we played fetch and gave kisses when my family came home. But one day my human family had a baby and they no longer had time for me. They wanted me to go to a good home so they found DC SIR. I never did anything wrong. My family said I was always sweet and kind. But I am now without a home.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am as playful as a puppy! So much so that my foster family couldn’t believe I am 9 years old!! I love to prance around, chase after balls and play with squeaky toys! When I got to my foster home they had so many toys I couldn’t decide what to play with so I just had to play with everything! I’ve only been in rescue for a few hours but DC SIR said they need to work with me on pulling while walking (there are just so many awesome things to smell). I also have to learn not to jump on everyone I meet. I don’t get that since I am certain everyone wants my kisses! DC SIR says I’m really smart because in just the first few minutes in rescue I have already learned alternate behavior to jumping!
I’ve only been in rescue a few hours but DC SIR says that I am quite a catch! They’ll update you on my progress. I really hope to find a forever home that won’t ever let me go since I am great with children!
