ChiChi

Adoption status: Adopted!

Hi, my name is now ChiChi. I’m a handsome, red 11 month old male Shiba Inu! I was purchased from a pet store by a college student. Unfortunately, he didn’t have time for me so his parents took me in for a bit. They taught me sit, down and paw! They tried to make it work but I wasn’t a good fit. So they looked for a good place for me to go to where the people are familiar with my breed. They found DC SIR and thought I’d do just great with them! I arrived at my DC SIR foster home Memorial Weekend. I have 2 dogs to play with and I just love to play! DC SIR will show you some fun videos of me playing with my furry foster family!

I’m a really big boy for my age – I weigh 30 pounds! I have long legs and kind of look like a wolf! I have really thick fur too. My foster mom says I can be a real cuddle bug once I warm up to you! Last night, once I knew my foster mom was safe, I curled up in her lap and fell asleep. I haven’t met cats or kids yet but DC SIR will be able to tell you more about me in the next two weeks during my health and temperament assessment.

DC SIR is a non-profit, volunteer-run network of foster homes in the Washington, DC area.

DC SIR does not have a shelter facility. To meet our adoptable dogs, interested adopters can attend one of our monthly adoption events.
