Daiki

Adoption status: Adopted!

DAIKI

Hi! My name is Daiki. Can you guess what it means? It means noble. Perfect, right?! I am a Shiba after all. DC SIR was told I was about 5 years old – but more on that later. I was found wandering around in Pennsylvania on Memorial weekend. I was living on the streets for at least a week before a nice family was able to win my trust. A nice family took me in because they didn’t want to abandon me at a shelter. They searched for my family by scanning me for a microchip at the vet’s office, posting an ad on Craigslist, and even contacting shelters.

I wasn’t having any luck until one of the shelters who had worked with DC SIR before told the kind people that DC SIR might be able to help. The nice people who cared for me brought me to DC SIR and now I need your help. I haven’t been vaccinated, microchipped or neutered. I’ll need a heartworm, Lyme, and ehrlichiosis test too. Since I have been in foster care with DC SIR for the weekend, my foster parents said I must be much older than 5 years old so I’ll probably need a senior blood panel when I go to the vet too. I’m over excited about cats, love dogs, and I haven’t been tested with kids.

I really love being around people. I’ll nudge you if you stop petting me because I love any attention your willing to give me. I look forward to telling you all about me and hope to feel great and find a perfect home soon!
