HANA

Hi! My name is Hana. I am a 3-month old female Shiba Inu mix and I am in one of DC SIR’s foster homes. I was born to a backyard breeder who sold puppies on Craigslist. My mom was a pure bred Shiba Inu and my dad was a Miniature Pinscher. The breeder wasn’t what they call a Responsible Breeder. He never spayed or neutered any of his Shibas and sold them on Craigslist without regard for our welfare. He was not very educated and didn’t monitor for unwanted litters. My mom, a Shiba Inu mated with the neighbor’s Min Pin across the street and here I am! I’m one week older than Miyu. Luckily a neighbor cared enough to find some help so that I did not end up being a puppy in poor health and in a bad home. The nice neighbor has a sister who is a vet and she will spay and neuter all the breeder’s dogs. I am so lucky the neighbor helped me from being given away on Craigslist. I am so happy to have a second chance at finding a forever home.

So let me tell you a little about myself. I’m a little shy and nervous but I will warm up to you when I know you won’t rough handle me. I bark at every stranger or strange noise I hear, but it’s only because I have not been out much. I’m super gentle and will fall asleep in your arms. I’m a tiny little girl but I’m very cute. The one week I’ve spent with DC SIR has been filled with love and its so much better than being at the backyard breeder who grabbed me too roughly. I now run up to my foster mom and give kisses because she never chases me and always has something awesome for me when I come to her. Please consider adopting me so that I might find my forever home.
