HARU

Hi, my name is Haru and it means Spring in Japanese! I’m a 4 year old male Red Shiba Inu. I used to live in a home but my family surrendered me to a Maryland shelter. My people put me there because they said I ran away too much. I was lucky to only be in the shelter for a short time, but it was still very scary. My family brought me and another family dog to the shelter because we ran away from home a lot. Couldn’t they see that I was just being a typical Shiba and was out hunting and exploring for excitement? DC SIR came to get me as soon as I was available. They took me to a house filled with other Shibas just like me. I growled at the other Shibas at first, but then realized they were all pretty nice and wouldn’t get in my face so I didn’t need to yell at them anymore. I’m a neat, proud and proper Shiba Inu. I don’t get into any trouble at all. I think I’m just made perfect!

So let me tell you a little more about myself. I am very sweet towards people. I’m also very handsome and polite. I’m a bit tiny and I know how to move swiftly. DC SIR says I’m a bolter. I think that means I can run really fast. I think cats are really nice so I let them eat my treats first! I won’t chase or pester them at all. Dogs are ok too. I haven’t played yet because I’m still settling in with DC SIR but I eat, sleep and hang out with a bunch of Shiba Inus just like me. I like sitting on my foster mom’s lap and sometimes I growl at the other Shibas to keep them away from us. I am going to have my very own album with pictures and stories about me. Please watch for updates so you can see how handsome and smart I am.
