Kinichi

Adoption status: Adopted!

Hi, my name is now Kinichi. I’m a handsome 7 month old Shiba Inu! The only family I have ever known had to give me up because they are young college kids and realized they didn’t have the time for an active puppy like me. DC SIR said they would take me in until I find my forever home. I did hear them say I have to go to the Vet to get “fixed!” Don’t know what that means because I am perfect in every way. But once I am fixed I’ll be available for adoption!
Let me tell you a bit about me. I wasn’t socialized much around other dogs so I get really excited when I see them. I jump in their face and say, “PLAY, PLAY, PLAY, WITH ME!” I do that with people and cats too. Apparently, those aren’t good manners and DC SIR is going to help me with that.

I also love to run! I’ll drag you along with me to where I want to go. Again, more manners training (I hope this manner stuff will be fun). DC SIR says I’m a real big boy for a 7 month old Shiba! I weigh 32 pounds! I was born October 23, 2013 and I have AKC papers too. Please follow my story if you’d like to adopt me. DC SIR will tell you more about me soon!

DC SIR is a non-profit, volunteer-run network of foster homes in the Washington, DC area.

DC SIR does not have a shelter facility. To meet our adoptable dogs, interested adopters can attend one of our monthly adoption events.
