Kiyoko

Adoption status: Adopted!

Kiyoko

Hello everyone, my name is now Kiyoko. I am just a one and a half year old black and tan female Shiba Inu. My family had to give me up to rescue due to life changes. I was purchased from a pet store and lived with a female Shiba a little younger than me. I was real lucky to have such a wonderful family that socialized me and gave me basic training. When I met the DC SIR volunteer that drove me I did the typical adorable Shiba Inu greeting with airplane ears and squinty eyes and I shook my butt and howled a hello!

DC SIR is told that I do well at the dog park and I love meeting people and dogs! I did real well meeting all the dogs at Shiba HQ and just did the typical growl when too many dogs got in my face. I also welcomed all the people who would say hi to me. I met a cat and boy did it look weird! I didn’t know what to do so I play bowed then barked and bopped him on the head. Then I walked away because he was just weird looking. I was born April 6, 2014 and I weight about 25 lbs. I love taking treats from people and showing off my sits.
I have been well taken care of but will need to get spayed next week! I’m not sure I like the sound of that but DC SIR expects me to be cleared for adoption after my 2 week health review and behavior assessment. If you are interested in getting to know me better, be sure to follow my album on DC SIR’s Facebook page. They’ll let you know if I am good with cats, dog and children.
