Benkei

Adoption status: Adopted!

Hi everyone! My new Japanese name with DC SIR is Benkei and it means Warrior Spirit. I am a young female Shiba/Shepard mix about 40lbs and I’m super friendly! Let me tell you what brought me here to DC SIR. I was found abandoned in a rural part of West Virginia. Thankfully, nice people at a rescue took me in and fostered me. I was adopted out for a short time but returned because I’m a very high energy puppy with a lot of typical Shiba Inu traits. I was back in foster care and the nice people at the rescue lost a foster home so they reached out to DC SIR to help me. DC SIR got a transport going to pick me up the very next morning!

Let me tell you what DC SIR knows about me. I LOVE other dogs and always want to play! I also do well with cats but may be too much for them if I don’t have other dogs to play with. I would like to go to a home with a very active family who can keep me busy. If you like adventures & want to be active in the DC SIR family, I’d be the right pup for you! I have also lived with small children & I love them too! I can get so excited and jump up on small kids too much but DC SIR said that I’ll learn about being calm & proper manners when I go to school with my forever family!
