Hello everyone, my new name is now Kawaii and it means, “cute” in Japanese. I am 15-week-old, male, cream Shiba Inu. My owners had me for about a week and realized that I’m quite a handful with their busy schedules. They loved me very much and took the time to ensure I would be going to a place that knows about the Shiba Inu breed and provides the best training, nutrition, and puppy socialization. Let me tell you a bit about myself: I love everyone I meet, people, dogs, cats, because they all think I am just so adorable! I think even the squirrels love me! I have a lot of energy and I love to play. I sat nicely in the car ride to Shiba HQ and got to eat some yummy boiled chicken on the way! When I arrived at Shiba HQ late in the evening I was a bit shy but soon I realized everyone was friendly and we played for hours!

I had a few accidents in the house and don’t yet give any signals that I have to potty, but that is something that DC SIR is going to teach me with reward-based training. I do know how to sit (kind of!) and my foster mom is going to teach me my name and to come when called. My foster mom put me in a soft crate by her bed late in the evening to go to sleep and I protested some but settled down when she played sleepy music for me. I used my puppy pad in my crate to potty which she cleaned up right away. I got to eat some yummy raw goat milk this morning. I absolutely love DC SIR raw food! Once I am potty trained and medically cleared, DC SIR will begin looking for my pawfect forever home. I’ll be required to have a reward-based training contract and DC SIR will look for people willing to learn about how to properly train and socialize a puppy. I look forward to meeting you at future adoption events!
