Ellie

Adoption status: Adopted!
Ellie

Ellie (formerly Nariko) is a Jindo who was only a few weeks old when DC SIR rescued her in 2012. She was rescued along with her mother, Jae, and her brother, Hoover. Ellie was adopted on 1/14/13. Her ‘pawrents’ sent us some photos and an update of how she has been in her first year since being adopted:

Although Ellie only weighs 30 lbs, she has an enormous personality. She is stubborn, yet affectionate, friendly and very playful. She enjoys rough housing with her ‘furbrother’ Tucker, a Shiba Inu; hikes, long walks and the occasional run.

She dislikes car rides and when walking through the city, she will at all costs, avoid walking over grates and manhole covers.

She has been a great addition to our family and is adjusting well to our new city life, as we just moved to Baltimore. Thank you, DCSIR!

DC SIR is a non-profit, volunteer-run network of foster homes in the Washington, DC area.

DC SIR does not have a shelter facility. To meet our adoptable dogs, interested adopters can attend one of our monthly adoption events.
