Foxxy

Adoption status: Adopted!

FOXXY

Hi, my name is Foxxy. I’m a 12 year old pure bred Shiba Inu who is in one of DC SIR’s foster homes.  You see, my previous family had to give me to DC SIR because of a medical issue that arose with the family.  Although I miss my family, I know that they love me and only want what is best for me.  So let me tell you a little bit about myself.  I believe that age is only a state of mind.  Even though I’m technically a ‘senior’ Shiba, I have as much energy as a lot of Shibas that are half my age!  Like most Shibas, I am quite proud and regal.  I’m beautiful, and I know it!

One of the great things about my foster home is that they are feeding me yummy food! I am on a species-appropriate diet now, and it tastes SO GOOD! DC SIR is also giving me some supplements to help with my joints and digestion, even though I don’t think I really need them. But you can never be too healthy, I guess! I’ve heard that a lot of Shibas aren’t very good around cats. I don’t mind them at all though! To me they’re just tiny Shibas that meow a lot. One of my best traits, I think, is that I am super friendly to all people who meet me. I love getting petted and rubbed, and might even give you some kisses, if you’re lucky!

Foxxy is a 12 year old female Shiba Inu who is great with cats and people. She can be okay around other dogs as long as they respect her space. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

Please email adoption@dcsir.org and tell them you’d like to adopt Foxxy!
