Kira

Adoption status: Adopted!

Hello everyone, my name is Kira. I am just a tiny little 5 year old black and tan female Shiba Inu. I was left to fend for myself in the wilds of southern VA. I didn’t know what to do or how to survive on my own. Soon I found myself in an animal shelter. The nice people there said I looked just like a fox! I even got to go to a temporary foster home. But I didn’t do so well with the resident cats. It wasn’t my fault, the kitties just looked like they needed to be chased. So I chased them! Guess that didn’t go over so well and I found myself back in the shelter. My family never did come to claim me and no one knew what breed I was. Luckily, someone realized that I was a Shiba Inu and a nice woman contacted DCSIR to tell them about me. They didn’t care if I chased cats and said they would put me in a foster home that understood me.

I’m so tiny and cute, and I just know that DCSIR will help me find my perfect forever home! I’m not allowed to go to a home with cats or dogs but I LOVE people and I love to be held and cuddled. I’ll fall asleep right in your arms like a baby. But I am still a proud and dignified Shiba Inu. That means I would do best in a home with older children who are considerate of dogs like me! I know that I would make a wonderful, loving addition to the right family. Kira is a 5 yr old Female Black and Tan. Must be ONLY pet. No small children. Tiny at 13.9 lbs!
