Adoption status: Adopted!

Satoshi

Hello everyone, my name is now Satoshi. I was born 6/1/14 in a puppy mill. My family brought me home and tried to love me and train me. But the had a trainer who told them to do things to me that made me reactive. I was being “alpha trained” so I tried to tell them I didn’t like it and snapped at my family. So they returned me to the mill that I was born in. But the mill had no use for me since I was already neutered. Luckily, DC SIR was going to get another Mill Shiba that was left behind from their last rescue and the said they would train me properly, like so many other Shibas, with science-based force free training.

DC SIR says they will work with me and assess the best home for me. My adopters have to be willing to learn about humane force free training and/or take a class with an approved trainer. I already went to my foster home and met a bunch of dogs and chased DC SIR alum and rescues around! DC SIR was told I don’t like big dogs and I met a big dog today and growled but that wasn’t a big deal to anyone so we went on sniffing and playing. I was also really excited to meet all the people today and gave everyone kisses.

If you are interested in getting to know me better, be sure to follow my album on DC SIR’s Facebook page. They’ll let you know if I am good with cats, dog and children.
