DC SIR at PetValu in Manassas – 4/20/2013!
Come to PetValu in Manassas, VA on Saturday, April 20th from 11am to 4pm, for their National Adoption Weekend Event! There will be many rescues, trainers, food distributors, free samples and fun times! DCSIR will have a table there to educate people about the breed and provide information about our foster program and volunteer positions. You can also meet some of our adoptable dogs at the event! Please come out and support us as we try to inform the public about rescue and this wonderful breed!
DC SIR at the Cherry Blossom Festival!
As the Shiba Inu is Japan’s National Treasure, we felt it would be a great idea to bring our Shiba pals for a casual walk past the cherry blossoms! DCSIR will be meeting at the Jefferson Memorial on April 7, 2013 at 3pm for a National Park Service Ranger-led walk, and is inviting all of our Shiba-owner and Shiba-enthusiast friends to join us. There will be other breeds there, but none will be prettier than our foxy cuties! It will be a good chance for the Shibas to honor their heritage and enjoy the cherry blossoms!
Don’t forget a leash, bags and water!
