Adoption status: Adopted! |
Hi my name is Oshi and I am a 7 year old female Shiba Inu. I would like to tell you my story if you will listen. I just found myself homeless and in a shelter for the 4th time of my life, and I don’t ever want to be here again. A long time ago I lived with the most perfect family. They loved me so much and taught me so many tricks. They always told me how beautiful and smart I was, until they had to leave the country real quick because my dad was in the military. They cried when they left me at the shelter. I cried too. I never knew anyone but them. How could they leave me there alone? Then a deaf family saw how cute I was and that I knew all my commands with hand signals, so they adopted me and took me home. But even as smart as I was, they were not familiar with my breed so they didn’t understand how to live with a proud Shiba, and they returned me to the shelter. Later a volunteer adopted me and my sister, but the other dog’s resource guarding was too much for her so I was brought back again.
Finally I was adopted out last week. A woman came with her dog to the shelter and we got along great. But when I went home with them her dog became very territorial and wouldn’t let me touch anything so, after an hour of trying to get her dog to like me she gave up and drove me right back here.
DCSIR promises that I won’t ever have to spend another night in a shelter, and after my stay in foster I’ll find a family that loves me and understands that I am a Shiba Inu and not toy to play with and discard! Will you please share my story so I can find my forever home real fast?
