Hello everyone, my name is now Hiroshi, and it means ‘generosity’ in Japanese. I am a 6-month-old, pinto, male Shiba Inu. I’m a big boy at 23 lbs. My family had life circumstances that resulted in me being surrendered to a PA animal shelter. Luckily, they called DC SIR, and I was able to get neutered and on a transport to Shiba HQ in just days. When the volunteers picked me up for my long drive I was so excited I jumped around and gave everyone kisses. I got to explore Shiba HQ on my own for a bit before meeting the other dogs. Then something wonderful happened! The volunteers let out a lot of dogs, and I was so excited to meet everyone! I did zoomies to show everyone how fast I am. Oh boy am I fast and I just love to meet other dogs. If any of the other dogs growl at me, I just roll on the ground or play bow to show how fun I am. I’m really just all over the place with excitement! The volunteers are trying to contain me since I was just neutered, but I am having so much fun zooming around! I’m a big goofball, and I may trip over you and tumble the smaller dogs, but I just don’t realize my size. The volunteers say that I am very easy to handle and that I don’t mind being held or picked up, but I can get squirmy when I want to go somewhere else. I’m sure DC SIR will post pictures and videos of me and my antics. They said I will require a reward-based training contract since all puppies should have basic training to learn how to communicate with their pawrents. DC SIR thinks that I am a people and dog-friendly Shiba Inu who will do great in a home with other dogs! I’ve been picking at everything I can get my mouth on so I’ll need redirection to learn to play with the appropriate things in the house and not your remote or shoes! I am definitely a high energy Shiba Inu, so I won’t do well in a couch potato home! If you are an active family that wants to do training with me and make me your forever dog, then fill out an application for me, and I hope to meet you!
