Hello everyone, my name is now Miku, and it means ‘beautiful sky’ in Japanese. I am the smallest of the 6 breeder release from Florida at just 16 lbs. I am also the youngest at 4-years-old. I am a smart girl too. After arriving at Shiba HQ and being put in a gated room with a few of my family members, I escaped the room by climbing a 3-ft gate. My foster mom slept on the couch with me because she knew she couldn’t contain me! I also learned how to use the dog door in one try just by watching the other dogs do it. I also learned how to use the stairs quickly (my other family didn’t know how to walk up and down stairs). Anyway, you can tell I’m a fast learner. I also napped on all the beds in the main room to see which one I liked best. I grew up with over 20 dogs in a house, so I am great with dogs. I also don’t mind cats. I am a bit skittish about being picked up. I may scream at you if you try to pick me up without giving me notice. My foster mom is working on that. My shiblings and I never really walked on leashes, so we are learning how to do that too. I’m really small and easy to pick up, so my foster mom started working on cueing a pickup with treats so I don’t mind it so much, and once I am in her arms I enjoy looking down on the world haha! I am a curious Shiba, and I follow my foster mom all over the house and in the garden. I like to sleep on the couch near her and my shiblings too. I had to get spayed, and I was very nervous and panting when I was taken to the vet, but the staff said I was such a good girl. DC SIR thinks I can adjust quickly to a new life and that I would probably love adventures such as hikes since I am so curious. I haven’t had any accidents in the house, and I am not destructive. I love being around other dogs, and I am starting to show my foster mom how playful I can be. Please follow my album if you think I will be a good fit for your family.
