Tonchiki aka Chiki is a 9-month-old male Jindo mix. This poor boy lived outside much of his puppyhood. He was also treated heavy-handedly by his owners so he can be fearful of new people. But once he realizes you aren’t going to hurt him (some savvy body language and yummy boiled chicken) he won’t leave your side! Chiki is a playful puppy who is learning how to play with toys and bonds quickly to his foster family. Chiki didn’t do well with the male dogs at Shiba HQ but he is nonstop playing with the female dogs in his foster home. He growled a bit at the male dog and pestered them a lot but never attacked them. However, he was obviously agitated by the male dogs and is thriving in a home with 2 female dogs. Chiki can be mouthy when playing but he has an extremely soft mouth and is learning how to play with toys instead of hands!
Chiki is taking some time to potty train since he lived outdoors but has been doing very well and when he can’t be monitored he is still out and about playing with his foster shiblings in a belly band. Chiki is a smart puppy who is eager to please. He will require a reward-based training contract. Chiki is UTD on core vaccinations, microchipped and neutered.
