Three D’s – Distraction, Distance and Duration.

We often see people at events or outings surprised and embarrassed that their dog suddenly seemed to forget all the training they performed beautifully at home. Or we see people say their dog is not trainable or doesn’t listen to them. One of the fundamental concepts that is often overlooked by the average dog owner is the three D’s of dog training that allow us to build and proof behaviors by slowly raising criteria in each parameter. If you want to have a well-behaved Shiba in various environments then you need to master their training in these environments. Oftentimes, people blame the dog or use punitive approach due to their own lack of understanding on how learning works.
