Fundraising Team Member

What’s better than a great party? A party with Shiba Inus! As a member of the Fundraising Team, you will help organize and staff events, connect with donors and collaborate on new initiatives that will keep DC SIR going strong in the years to come.

Weekly hours: 1 – 3 hours/week. Week of event will likely require additional hours.

Duties:

  • Help build community partnerships by soliciting gift card or item donations from local businesses, to be raffled off at events
  • Support events, including Happy Hours, cultural festivals, expos, and walks by staffing tables and speaking with potential donors and volunteers
  • Brainstorm ideas for new and innovative fundraising initiatives during quarterly calls
  • Be a DC SIR Ambassador on social media by encouraging friends and family to participate in fundraisers, special sales (wine, chocolate), apparel stores, etc.
  • Maintain donor portfolios by keeping in touch with donors and encouraging them to make annual gifts
  • Must have access to email and internet throughout the day.
  • Must love Shiba Inus and primitive breed dogs!

DC SIR does not have a shelter facility. To meet our adoptable dogs, interested adopters can attend one of our monthly adoption events.
