Kitsune

Hi everyone, my name is now Kitsune. You can also call me Kitsu. DC SIR tells me Kitsune is the Japanese word for fox. In Japanese folklore, foxes are intelligent wondrous beings blessed with wisdom and magical abilities which become more powerful with age. But right now I am very sick and weak. I have been neglected and abused. My body is ravaged with infection and aches with every movement. But I am thankful for rescues. See, at many shelters across the United States, dogs that look like me only have one chance to come out alive. We are not adoptable to the public and no one even knows we are here! DC SIR found out about me and was told I had to be rescued by the weekend or I would be put to sleep in the shelter; alone, in pain and unloved.

DC SIR doesn’t know anything about me, yet. They don’t know whether I am good with dogs, cats or people. They don’t know the extent of my illness. They see the pain in my eyes from the one picture they were sent. They’ve seen similar pained and pleading eyes in others before me and promised to help me. Although they have been overwhelmed with special needs rescues they said they know what to do with dogs who have allergies and infections like mine. I want to live. I want to be as wondrous & magical as the name DC SIR gave me! Please email DC SIR and tell them you’d like to adopt me.
