Hibiki came from a shelter in TN thanks to the shelter volunteers and DC SIR fans that came to his rescue and complete the long journey to Shiba HQ. Hibiki was picked up by his foster parents and took to them right away, nuzzling for pets, rubbing his head on them, and offering pawfect sits!
Hibiki has thrived being the only dog in his foster home. He is very food motivated and loves his yummy raw meals! He will do just about anything for treats and he also responds well to praise. Hibiki is a smart boy who has quickly learned lots of tricks since being in foster care such as: sit, lay, stay, and to drop/give a toy.
While Hibiki doesn’t love other dogs, he does love people and is very good with body handling. He loves to be pet and snuggle on the couch, but he will get startled by sudden movements and does not like the sound of metal clanging.
Hibiki is very playful and loves to engage in a game of fetch or tug of war with his foster parents, but he can also keep himself entertained by playing with his balls or snuffle mat.
Hibiki is an active dog who loves to go for hikes. He does well on leash but will occasionally pull. Hibiki loves to go for walks even more so than earning treats! He does not mind dogs passing by him if they ignore him, but he will get upset if they show interest in him. He also doesn’t mind strangers (people) passing by on walks, but he will bark through the window if he sees a male person walk past the house.
