Hello everyone, my name is now Yugen, and which is often used to describe “incredibly moving works of art,” in Japanese. I am a young male Shiba Inu. I was rescued from a meat farm overseas. Another Rescue saved me and placed me in a home. Unfortunately, my family fell ill and had to return me to the original Rescue. The Rescue that pulled me shut down since Covid, so they contacted DC SIR to take me in and help me find a furever home. I am shy but very sweet. My foster mom says I don’t have a mean bone in my body. I live with a few cats in my foster home and get along with them great. I also do great with friendly dogs. When I came to my foster home, my nails were overgrown, and my fur was oily, but DC SIR is going to get me in tip-top shape. I walk well on a leash and enjoy my walks in quiet areas. My foster mom says it seems like I could walk forever if they let me. Maybe I am looking for my previous home? I can get startled by new sounds in the home, like the air conditioner coming on or the ice maker making noise. After a few days, I don’t startle as much. Those are things I will get used to in time. Even though I was rescued from a horrible situation, I am doing well living in a home with other animals and people. I just need some time and patience to adjust to my new home. I am not destructive and haven’t had any accidents in my foster home. I am a small Shiba at just 25 pounds. My recent medical shows that I have Lyme, and I am now on meds for 30 days. I don’t have any symptoms, and I should be fine since I have no other medical issues. DC SIR will need to update some of my medical; they are in dire need of funds to cover all the new dog’s medical and food, so please help with my care by donating to DC SIR on PayPal using dcshibainurescue@gmail.com. Please share my story to help me find my forever home!
