Teddy is a 9 year old male red Shiba Inu. Follow his Facebook album.
Hi everyone, my name is now Teddy. I am one of two males rescued from the AR Breeding Facility with 8 other Shiba Inus that were in danger of euthanasia. My foster mom named me after Theodore Roosevelt, a President who valued freedom. I am a 9-year-old, tall and skinny red Shiba Inu. I ate every meal the volunteers gave me since I came into rescue. I am a shy and gentle boy who really wants to trust humans. I do great with other dogs, and I don’t even react when other dogs bark at me. I was very good during my bath and my nail trim.I can also be easily handled and will just hold on to you if you pick me up. I am living with another young male Shiba and will regularly see two alumni, DC SIR Hero and Loki (formerly Carson with DC SIR). I was very scared my first few days in foster and tried to make myself disappear into the bookshelf! My foster mom found that I do much better when I am outside with many exciting things to sniff. I’m not great at walking on a leash yet, so my foster mom has to carry me like a big baby which I don’t actually mindso much. I will need to have dental along with my neuter and general wellness. Once I have all my medical done, I can go to my forever home and live a life like I have dreamed of with the love and security to help me become a confident dog. I have only ever lived my entire life in a 4’ x 6’ concrete run without toys, beds, or companionship. If you are willing to open your heart and home I promise to show you a lifetime of gratitude.
