Hi, my name is now Naoki. I was surrendered to a shelter by my family. I don’t understand why because I am such a sweet boy and have been real good my whole life. But I have allergies and that is not something everyone wants to deal with. I lived with small children and a cat and was very good to everyone. But then I found myself alone and scared in a shelter. I was real nervous living in a shelter. DC SIR heard about me but couldn’t pick me up right away so I waited for someone to bring me to a home again.
DC SIR had luck with a fundraiser and were able to pick me up the very next day! Boy, was I happy to get in that car ride to Shiba HQ!!
As soon as I arrived to DC SIR they saw what a sweet and gentle guy I was. I met a few of the foster dogs and got along great with everyone. Then went straight to a shower and got cleaned up. I didn’t make a peep and leaned into the nice woman who trimmed my nails and massaged my skin. I thought she was real nice so I stuck close to her and reminded her to pet me by noses at her hand or pawing at her. A lot! See, I’m a rare cuddly Shiba and I WANT you to give me kisses and even though I am a big boy I like to sit in your lap!
Naoki has mild allergies which DC SIR feels will be resolved shortly. Naoki is a 9 year old male red Shiba Inu. We will begin interview after his 2 week behavior and medical assessment. Please email adoption@dcsir.org if you are interested in Naoki!
