Kiyoshi LOVES belly rubs: this is the fastest way to earn his favor. Chin scratches are also good! He loves receiving compliments and scratches from his neighbors and likes having visitors over to his house because it means more belly rubs!
He’s still getting used to being at home while his foster pawrents are at work, but he’s so excited when everyone gets home that he’ll welcome you with a tug of war game with his favorite toy. Kiyoshi is still learning how to play typical games like fetch but loves chew toys/bully sticks.
He is extremely friendly and likes to walk right up to people on the street. He likes exploring the neighborhood and meeting new people, especially because he gets so many compliments, and loves stopping to smell the flowers/plants. He likes to jog for short spurts here and there. His least favorite part about walking is putting one harness but once he’s outside he has a great time. He’s still somewhat skittish when passing other dogs but hopefully will make lots of friends soon.
On Sundays he likes to relax in the park and watch the birds. If he’s feeling particularly frisky he’ll try to chase them. Favorite thing to do at the park is find a nice cool patch of grass with an interesting smell and roll in it, he could do this literally for hours.
He’s a great co-pilot in the car, always excited to jump in for a quick adventure. Favorite destinations include the pet store and Rock Creek Park.
Kiyoshi likes cooling down with frozen coconut oil after a long walk in the evening. This is his favorite treat (it’s like a doggy popsicle).
