Hello everyone, my name is now Alyssum. You may have heard me called “Miss Piggy” in the original videos of the 12 rescued mill dogs. That’s because I was previously a house dog. When DC SIR pulled my crate for transfer to Shiba HQ, I knew I was saved! I kissed the volunteers through the crate and squealed with delight. I also ate all the boiled chicken they gave me right away. When I was let out of my crate, a lot of the mill pups were too scared to eat their boiled chicken, so I ate up all their treats too! I KNEW the volunteers were there to save me!!! I love everyone who gives me attention, and I will kiss your face all over and show you my shaky butt, squinty eyes, and airplane ears! I also remembered how to use stairs right away. At first, I was sent to a foster home with no other dogs. I cried being separated with kids in the home and no dogs. I refused to eat and panted in stress. So DC SIR sent me back to Shiba HQ, and in just a few hours, I was back to being my ridiculously happy self! I will cry all night if I am away from people or dogs. I do ok at night in my xpen when I am surrounded by other dogs. Sometimes, I get out and run around the house! But I don’t have accidents in house after a few days! I love playing with toys, but I can guard my toys and food from other dogs and bully them. I don’t have any reactivity to people at all. I’ll share my food and toys with people anytime! DC SIR thinks I could be an only dog if I am completely integrated into the family home. I’d really like to sleep on your bed! I just don’t like to be alone or isolated from my people. DC SIR separates me from other dogs when eating and chewing treats. Otherwise, I am super duper, uber people-friendly. Every time I see people, I squeal with delight and can’t stop giving you kisses! Follow my story if you would like to adopt me!
