Honey

Honey is a 10 week old, female, red Shiba Inu. Follow her Facebook album.

Hi everyone, my name is now Honey. I am a tiny red Shiba Inu estimated to be between 8-10 weeks old. You see, my pawrents moved into an apartment and they couldn’t take me with them so I had to go to the shelter. The shelter immediately contacted DC SIR and a volunteer came to get me the next day. I was so thankful because I did not want to stay at the shelter. It was about a 2 hour drive back to my new foster home, and I was so good on the car ride. I laid right down in my carrier and slept the whole way. When I got to my foster home I explored the backyard and went potty right away! Soon, I got to meet my new foster brother sister shiblings. My foster sisfur is a senior Shiba tolerates me but does not want to play with me. I am good at backing off and reading signals. But my foster brofur, boy we have been having so much fun! I have a lot of energy, and he likes to wrestle with me. I would do really well in a home with another friendly dog who wants to play with me! Since I am only a couple of months old I am still working on potty training, but I’m doing pretty good. I do go potty outside, and if I don’t make it I know to use the puppy pads. I am a very smart girl already, and I love my food and my toys! I already follow my foster mom everywhere, and I know how to sit. With some puppy classes I will be a star at training. Are you the forever home for me?! I am eagerly waiting to meet you and become your new best friend! Fill out an application to let adoption@dcsir.org know you are interested in adopting me!
