Juliet

Juliet is a 5 year old, female, black Shiba Inu. Follow her Facebook album.

Hello everyone, my name is now Juliet from the #ValentinePup theme. I am a 5-year-old Shiba Inu released from an OH breeding facility. I am a 23lb black and tan Shiba Inu. My foster mom noticed I was lactating when I got to Shiba HQ, so she called the mobile vet, who typically has a month wait list, to come see me and the other pregnant Shiba, Ruby. My foster mom felt a large ball in my belly and thought I was about to deliver. When the vet examined me, she noticed it was a large hernia. Unfortunately, I also have bad teeth that will need to be taken care of, and I even have a canine that is loose and barely hanging on. DC SIR is trying to decide how to proceed to ensure I am healthy and safe. I had a Relaxin test to determine that I have the hormone produced in pregnancy. However, since I am lactating and the vet couldn’t find my puppies with a sonogram, I may have lost my puppies. DC SIR has made several calls to vets and breeders, trying to decide what is best for my health. It is not recommended I have dental or hernia surgery until after my puppies are born if I am close to giving birth. DC SIR is going to schedule my appointments for surgery while waiting a bit more to see where I am in this pregnancy. Please pray for my health. Let me tell you about myself. I am the Juliet to Romeo! We weren’t allowed to be together because he wasn’t neutered yet. But I would sit by his pen, and he would sit by my pen. I am fearful and gentle. I already use the dog door and put myself into my private bed area! I haven’t had any accidents, and I get along with all the dogs and cats. I don’t know how to walk on a leash yet, but I do come into the house on my own! DC SIR sees me as a loving and gentle Shiba Inu who would be so grateful to live out my life in comfort and love!
