Hello everyone, my name is now Noa, and it means ‘my love’ in Japanese. I am a three and a half-month-old female Shiba Inu. I was in a Shiba experienced home for just under a week, but I didn’t get along with the senior cat in the house. Thankfully, my owners decided to surrender me to DC SIR, where I will get enrichment and socialization until I find my perfect forever home. My parents sent me to DC SIR with lots of toys too! Let me tell you a bit about myself. I am a very high energy puppy, and I will jump in your face and give you kisses forever! I had a long drive to Shiba HQ and had an accident in the car, but the volunteers were stuck in traffic and had nowhere to pull off, so they said it was their fault and I was a brave girl on such a big adventure. When I arrived at Shiba HQ, I got to meet the neutral dog, Katniss. I was so excited to see another dog that I jumped on her back and just hung out. More dogs came, and I went crazy with joy and jumped on everyone’s face. Apparently, that isn’t a proper greeting, so some of the older dogs told me to stop nicely. I spent my Valentine’s evening playing with the other puppies at Shiba HQ.

DC SIR says I am a very confident dog. I even chased one of the resident dogs, Wolfie, into a corner when he growled at me, haha! I am going to learn how to act with other dogs appropriately. I do really well with people, and DC SIR will test me with their dog-friendly resident cat. DC SIR says I still need to be potty trained. I was bought from an online store, and I came from a place where I could urinate and defecate in my cage. I have been using puppy pads inside the house, so DC SIR will be training me to potty outside instead. I’ve only been in rescue for a day, so DC SIR will let you know more about my personality as they get to know me. I will require a reward-based training contract as all puppies should go to training with their humans to learn how to communicate better. Please follow and share my story so I can find my pawfect forever home!
