Hello everyone, my name is now Saburo, which means ‘third son’ in Japanese. I am a 6-year-old, male cream, Shiba Inu. I had only one owner my whole life, but a recent family member became allergic to me, so my family called DC SIR. I have some pretty bad allergies, and my skin is hot and inflamed. My family had me on some harsh drugs, but DC SIR will take me off all of those and work on building a robust immune system so I can have healthy skin and fur! Let me tell you a bit about myself. You wouldn’t know I was six years old because I have the energy of a 6-month-old! When I met the neutral dog, Katniss, at the dog park, I was so excited and gave her kisses in the face. I was also super happy to see the volunteer, and I pranced and ran around the park! I was a little more nervous when I was leaving with the volunteer in the car, but I quickly settled down after a few yummy treats.

When I got to Shiba HQ I got to explore the yard on my own. After I was comfortable, I met all the other dogs in foster. I got along with everyone right away. The volunteer says I’m really savvy at reading other dog’s body language. My fun didn’t last long because my fur was pretty greasy, and I needed a bath and nail trim. I got a microbubble bath to help me with my skin, and I didn’t squirm or protest too much because I was getting some delicious dehydrated farm treats. I then went into a crate for red light therapy, and I got to chew on some dehydrated treats! After that, I was able to see all the dogs again and get my first raw food meal while I waited for my foster parents to pick me up from Shiba HQ. DC SIR says I’m going to look amazing and feel as good as I look in no time! I may need a bit of time in DC SIR’s care, but if you follow my story, you will see all my fun adventures! I already made it to my foster home and met my two Shiba sisters that I will be staying with while I recover. Please consider donating to my long-term care in rescue and follow and share my story so that I can find a forever home!
