Why hello there! I’m Tigerlily! I’m a sweet, petite, almost two-year-old Shiba girl, and I weigh 15 lbs. I found myself with DC SIR because my dad’s circumstances changed, and he could barely spend time with me anymore. He always took good care of me, though. DC SIR was financially unable to cover my surgery so my dad put me on their waitlist and paid for my luxating patella surgery before I came to DC SIR! He loved me so much that he wanted to make sure I would be healthy when I got here. On my way to my foster mom’s house I didn’t make a peep! I took some time to relax in an X-pen and observed the ongoings of the house. I was a little cautious initially, but I warmed up quickly because everyone was so nice. The treats are pretty great too! I get along with everyone – adults, kids, and other dogs! I am playful and interactive! I love love LOVE to play fetch. Although sometimes I gulp water too quickly after a play session and spit it back up because I try to keep playing! My foster mom says I look like a little fox. I like to lean on her to ask her for pets. I am also potty trained and pretty quiet. Other than my luxating patella, which I had surgery for already, I am a healthy and happy Shiba Inu and DC SIR says I appear great with cats, dogs, and children. I will need to go through the standard 2-week medical and behavior evaluation before I am available for adoption. DC SIR will provide you with information on luxating patella in my album. If you think I would be a great addition to your family, please let DC SIR know!
