Yuuna is a petite 7-year old black and tan shiba who came to DC SIR due to her owner’s upcoming hectic military schedule. She loved going to doggie daycare and playing with other dogs. She also loves to greet people too! Yuuna is a friendly, well-adjusted pup looking for a forever home where she can go on adventures and play!
Yuuna is loving, curious, and playful. She follows her foster parents around their home for scritches and enjoys treats alongside her foster brother. When she’s not leaning in for pets or napping, Yuuna will happily keep herself entertained playing with any toy that squeaks or dispenses yummy treats!
Yuuna is very food-motivated and gets excited about treats, both for dogs and humans. She knows “sit” and is eager to learn more alongside a motivated adopter who will work with a force-free, positive reinforcement trainer. Her food curiosity has also led to some sneaky snatching of items off the coffee table when no one is looking. Yuuna also has a strong nose for locating and pulling out more squeaky toys that have been stored away.
Yuuna gets very excited when she sees her harness because she loves going on walks. She is not very fond of being picked up, but will allow it. Pedestrians, scooters, bikes, cars, and motorcycles don’t seem to phase her one bit. Yuuna has no known medical issues and is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Yuuna would love an active and shiba savvy adopter! Could that be you?
