November is Adopt a Senior Month, so in honor of this we are featuring updates of some of our adopted Senior alumni.
Koji is a 14 year old senior rescued by DCSIR in March 2013. Having been cruelly abandoned before being found and put into a kill shelter, Koji’s story touched everyone’s heart. It wasn’t long before his foster parents adopted him in April 2013!
We last heard from Koji’s family in July, when his pawrents told us how well he was doing in his new home. We’ve checked in with Koji again, and it seems this is one active senior who is truly enjoying his retirement!
Since July, Koji has been quite busy! He and his sisfur, Lady Goldenpaw, took a road trip to Colorado for their pawrents’ wedding. Not only were they in attendance, but they were members of the ceremony, as well! Congratulations to Koji’s parents!
In October, Koji celebrated Halloween by dressing up as a dogapiller.
Koji also enjoys staying in touch with DCSIR, and in November he attended the adoption event at PetValu. There, he met some of DCSIR’s adoptable dogs, and reassured them that they would all find their perfect forever homes, just like he has!
When he isn’t traveling or making public appearances, Koji loves relaxing in the comfort of his home with his family. He especially enjoys being able to spend time with Lady Goldenpaw.
We’re so happy Koji found the happy home he deserves! Thank you for the update, Koji & family!
