November is Adopt a Senior Month, so in honor of this we are featuring updates of some of our adopted Senior alumni.
Foxxy is a 12 year old Senior. She was surrendered to DCSIR in June, 2013, due to unfortunate family medical circumstances. Foxxy is such a sweetheart with so much energy, and it didn’t take her long to find her new family! On June 28, 2013, Foxxy was adopted into her forever home! Here is the update from her family:
Foxxy is adjusting well to her new home and doing great so far!
She lives with another 12 year old, a Bichon, Chloe and a 2 year old cat, Matteo who she gets along with pretty well for the most part.
Foxxy loves to spend a lot of time outside going for long walks or just running around in the backyard- she is full of energy!
This summer, Foxxy traveled to the beach where she made a lot of friends.
She is super friendly and is well-liked by all who have met her. At home, she has made friends with other neighborhood dogs, including two Labrador puppies who live next door and come over frequently to play with Foxxy and Chloe.
Foxxy is loved by her new family and is doing great! She is looking forward to the upcoming holidays where she will get lots of attention from her extended family who are always excited to see her!
Thank you DC Shiba Inu Rescue for bringing Foxxy and her new family together!
Thank you for the update, Foxxy’s family! We’re so glad she fits in so well with her new family!
