DCSIR Alumni Updates: Miko

November is Adopt a Senior Month, so in honor of this we are featuring updates of some of our adopted Senior alumni. Miko was rescued by DCSIR in Frebruary 2013 after being neglected, ignored, and finally, abandoned by her family of 12 years. Her rescue story was heartbreaking, and she came to us with a number of medical issues, including Lyme disease and extensive tooth damage. On February 23, 2013, Miko was adopted! DCSIR Alumni Updates: Aki

November is Adopt a Senior Month, so in honor of this we are featuring updates of some of our adopted Senior alumni. Aki, a 13 year old senior Shiba, was rescued from a kill shelter in the south. She came into rescue nearly bald with infected skin allergies. DC SIR is a non-profit, volunteer-run network of foster homes in the Washington, DC area.

DC SIR does not have a shelter facility. To meet our adoptable dogs, interested adopters can attend one of our monthly adoption events.
